JERMAINE FOWLER is an actor, producer, and writer who is making his mark as one of Hollywood’s fastest rising young talents. Fowler will next be in COMING 2 AMERICA starring as “Lavelle” opposite Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, and Leslie Jones. The film, which is set to release Christmas 2020, is a sequel to the 1988 hit comedy COMING TO AMERICA. In the sequel, “Akeem,” played by Eddie Murphy, learns he has a son in America and must return to meet the unlikely heir to the Zamundathrone. COMING 2 AMERICA is directed by Craig Brewer and written by Kenya Barrisand Barry W. Blaustein. On TV, Fowler starred in and executive produced CBS’s comedy series SUPERIOR DONUTS, where he was the first Black lead of a CBS sitcom in a generation. Created by Bob Daily, Garrett Donovan and Neil Goldman, SUPERIOR DONUTS is about an old-school doughnut shop owner, his spunky young employee and aspiring artist, and their friends and patrons who keep the shop going in a changing inner cityChicago neighborhood. Fowler starred in the series alongside Emmy Award-winner Judd Hirsch, David Koechner, Maz Jobrani and Katey Segal.
